It’s The Dawning of The Age of Stupidity

2009 November 10

It is the dawning of the age of stupidity, no doubt about it.  Being Libertarian leaves me with a unique point of view but it doesn’t ease the searing pain.

Stupid thing # 1 –  We elect a man whose claim to fame is the use of bullying tactics to get loans for people who didn’t deserve them thus, contributing to the mortgage crisis.  On top of that, he ran as the solution to the problem he helped cause! …and We, the land of the free and home of the stupid, elect him, WHY?!!!

I recently viewed a video of an ELEPHANT EATING FROM ANOTHER ELEPHANTS BUTT and enjoying it.  This reminds me of the government forced, shaky credit deals pushed on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Fannie and Freddie were forced to eat the crappy deals from the likes of President Obama and his picketing Acorn pals and Barney Frank from the House Banking Committee… and… they liked it.

Stupid thing # 2 – Some of us actually think that we can use the government to solve any large-scale problem.  (health care, credit crunch, high oil prices, global warming, etc)  The Government running private businesses is like the fox guarding the hen-house, or should I say, like the farmer giving the fox 40% of its hens in exchange for it not eating all of them.  In the end, the fox will eat all the hens, then say “it wasn’t enough.”  (kinda like this second bail-out thing)

Just remember, the Government’s major function is to increase in size until the country is completely bankrupt and the populace is completely corrupt.  I believe in freedom, (complete freedom; not the type most people believe in) freedom of thought, speech and action.  I’ll give you an example… If you are an asshole racist and you want to say racist asshole things, you should be allowed to.  Also, if your neighbors hate your racism and they alienate and disassociate from your no-brain, racist-ass, that is their right.  I also believe that if you own a business you can hire whoever you want. If a business owner decides to hire nothing but young, blonde, well hung men, to cater to the gay neo-nazi clique, then it’s his/her right to do so.  I do not know enough to judge your business model nor should the government.

I am a libertarian with a small  “L”. I believe in the free market society, pure capitalism, freedom of speech and action, and last but not least, minimal government.  I do not belong to  groups.  This is a major conundrum of being a libertarian.  As a Libertarian belonging to any group, including the libertarian party, is hypocritical.  The fear of group think and cool-aide drinking is strong and can’t be overcome.  Being a libertarian and belonging to a group of  thousands of people in order to further your ambitions is socialism and the antithesis of libertarianism.

I know it’s a minor point, but your “unique oint of view” is what drives you to classify yourself as a libertarian. If you have decided to be a libertarian, then subscribe to their point of view because that is how you have chosen to identify yourself, that makes you the same as any polititian who gets him/herself elected by preaching the party line. I’m just sayin. . .

You have a point but, what I failed to point out is I at a very young age I became fixated with the life extension movement. The reason for the fixation is simple, I like staying healthy and young as long as possible. In the mid 1980’s the government started cracking down on the individuals right to life and limited our options as health care was concerned. The emphasis was turned from what scientist believed should be done ,preventive care and, to a management of low grade sickness model we use today. T his was driven by the increased cost of new drug approval. This forced pharmaceutical companies to focus on drugs for a drippy nose, and bladder leaking instead of cures. That was a turning point for me and I felt almost helpless to do anything that may contribute in advance to my own health. At that point I became a libertarian by definition, but did not know that such an organization actually existed. I also learned as the FDA took away many cures for no reason but for political reasons, that government intervention usually leads to the masses getting screwed.

The world will become an integrated global village that will fight war no more because to do so would not be productive and it would not be necessary because their will be enough of material wealth to go around and satisfy all the basic needs of all the people everywhere.
Science will rule, and nations and religions will fall to the wayside and no longer divide earthlings from one another.
Bigotry born out of tribalism will be a thing of the past and all ignorance promoted by ambitious opportunists that profit by exploiting the simple minded non thinking bigots of the world will become no longer possible inside an environment of social consciousness and world cooperation.
A world planned economy that is designed by social scientists to profit all of the people in the world without discrimination will replace the outmoded market economy that was designed to only profit selfish individual capitalist owners. The capitalist owners of the means of production will no longer be allowed to exploit the world population of those that work for a living.
I know that all of what I have written here will come to be, because it is the only thing that can come to be.

I agree that a focus should be made on preventative care, and I believe that it seems that most insurance companies are trying to put an emphasis on this. As for the life extension, vitamins and herbs make up the majority of what are placed under the life extention label. There are not regulated by the FDA, and therefore outside the realm of government jurisdiction. So, if you do so choose to live outside the HMO umbrella, this would be the most effective route. However, this also leaves room for anyone off the street to lay claim to a miracle cure, do some unqualified testing in his basement laboratory, and say studies have proven that the root of the yum yum tree can help you loose weight. Not saying that the FDA has a perfect system, in fact it is far from perfect, but at least I know that actual scientists are “in theory” looking out for my safety.

You narrow minded nationalists are so backward in your thinking that you are blind to what is moving forward and what is moving backward in the history of mankind and in the evolution of matter in motion!
Like they say, “YOU CAN’T STOP PROGRESS,” ..That being an observable fact, it is only ignorance and fear that is representative of those on the “Right Wing” of the political spectrum that causes those “Right Wing Reactionaries” to be no longer relevant, …and to fear and hate progress.
It is a part of the “Evolutionary Process” for everything in our universe to change and adapt in a manner that would allow all forms of matter and all that reflects all forms of matter to make necessary adjustments so that it could survive, thrive grow and mature in an ever changing environment, an environment that moves in stages from a simple beginning to more complex stage. Everything has a life span and when it is necessary for that which has grown old and weak and no longer useful it is natural for that form of live matter to die and be replaced by something that is new and is it’s diametric opposite. An opposite that is stronger, more relevant, more in tune with the circumstances, situations and conditions that prevail at that particular point in time.
Those that hold on to the theory that “Individual Competition” is more important and better than, “Social Cooperation” are acting blindly because they are ignoring the context.
Under the conditions of scarcity of that which is necessary to survive and thrive, all living things will, because out of necessity, become a competitor for that which is scarce and therefor valuable.
To get what is scarce and what is needed before that what is scarce is all grabbed up by the competition and you are wanting and not getting, is the kind of environment that exists inside of a competitive society This competition exists because of material scarcity. “The Human Nature” of individuals living under the conditions of scarcity will act in an aggressive and desperate manner to get what is scarce for themselves.
Because of scarcity and competition, “STATUS” will go to those that accumulate for themselves the most of that which is valuable, because it is scarce.
The “HUMAN NATURE” of those that live under the conditions of “Material Abundance,” will act in a “Cooperative” manner because the need to compete will not be necessary because there will be enough of what is needed to satisfy everyone and no one will go wanting.
Status under these conditions will be arrived at by what you do for others, the opposite of what you can do for yourselves under a competitive condition.
It is new and advanced “Technological and Scientific” development that will make it possible to produce an abundant material society that will change the nature of the people within that society, and will change the nature of that cooperative social society.
It has been said that when people living under conditions where they receive from each according to their ability and to each according to their need, that in time a new type of human being will be born. It will be a “Social Scientific Being” that will need no one to force that type of person to be social. He or she will have no need to have a leader or government agency tell them what they should or should not do. They will become their own leader and understand scientifically the world environment and how to advance the interests of the world environment and the interests of the individuals within that world environment. It has been said that under this condition of harmony between people and environment that the need, for written laws police, soldiers, and courts, will no longer be needed and that the state apparatus will wither away. That in place of government and their apparatus you will have an administration of things, not an administration of people.
